How to Control the Drill (Remote Hook-Up) Integrating a standard power tool with your cobot controls is simpler than you think. You do not need complex drivers, expensive frequency converters, or software plugins.

  1. Trigger Lock: Secure your drill’s trigger in the “ON” position using a simple velcro strap or the drill’s built-in continuous-run button.

  2. Power Control: Plug the drill into a standard external relay or smart plug controllable by 24V signals.

  3. Robot I/O Connection: Wire the relay to your robot’s Digital Output (DO).

  4. Program: Simply toggle the Digital Output HIGH to start the drill and LOW to stop it within your robot program (Polyscope, TMFlow, etc.).
