Built by Engineers. For the “High Mix, Low Volume” Reality.
We built Cobot Tools because we were tired of saying “No.”
We are a small team of engineers and former System Integrators with over 15 years of experience in the machine tool and automation industry.
For years, we sat across the table from small business owners and production managers who wanted to automate simple tasks. They had “High Mix, Low Quantity” projects—drilling a few hundred holes a week or sanding custom cabinets.
Time and time again, we had to turn them away.
Why? Not because the robot was too expensive, but because the End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT) killed the ROI.
The “Tooling Trap”
We saw a massive gap in the market.
- If a customer wanted to automate drilling, they were told they needed a $5,000 precision spindle, a complex VFD controller, and an expensive integrator to set it up.
- If they couldn’t afford that, they were stuck doing the job by hand.
Even as Collaborative Robots (Cobots) became affordable and easy to program, the tooling remained stuck in the past. You could buy a robot for $20k, but the gripper, sander, and spindle could easily double that cost.
It didn’t make sense. Why does a robot need a $5,000 spindle to drill a hole that a human drills perfectly with a $60 handheld tool?
The Vision: Use What You Already Own
We set out to change the equation. We realized that the most reliable, durable, and cost-effective tools on the planet were already sitting on your workbench: Bosch, Makita, DeWalt, and Milwaukee.
We spent years developing a system that bridges the gap between manual labor and industrial automation.
Our mission is simple: To make automation affordable for everyone by allowing you to mount standard, industrial-grade power tools to any collaborative robot.
Why Choose Cobot Tools?
- We Are Engineers First: We didn’t just design these adapters to look good; we designed them to work on the factory floor. We understand rigidity, payload limits, and vibration dampening because we have lived it for 15 years.
- Democratizing Automation: We believe you shouldn’t need a bank loan to automate a simple sanding task.
- No “Gatekeeping”: We don’t hide behind complex quotes or proprietary software. We give you a mechanical solution that works with Universal Robots, Omron, JAKA, Doosan, and more.
From years of frustration to a working solution—Cobot Tools is here to help you automate without breaking the bank.
