Automated surface finishing usually falls into two traps: expensive, messy pneumatic systems (compressed air) or complex electrical integrations that require cutting wires and voiding warranties.

We offer a smarter solution: Mechanical Actuation.

The Cobot Sander Bundle combines our vibration-dampening Carbon Fibre Mount, the industry-standard Bosch GSS 2300 Professional, and our signature Linear Actuator into one ready-to-run package.

1. The Control: “Mechanical Finger” Technology

The biggest challenge in automating corded tools is turning them on and off without external relays or smart plugs.

  • The Actuator: We mount a compact, industrial-grade Linear Electric Actuator directly to the chassis.

  • How it Works: When your robot sends a signal, the actuator extends and physically pushes the sander’s ON switch. When the signal stops, it retracts.

  • No Soldering: You never have to open the tool or hack the electronics. The warranty remains intact.

2. Dual Control Modes (Included)

Every kit includes our Control Hub, giving you two ways to operate the tool:

  • Automatic Mode (Robot I/O): Connect the control wires directly to your Cobot’s Digital Output (24V). HIGH = Sander ON. LOW = Sander OFF.

  • Manual Mode (Wireless Remote): Use the included Wireless Keyfob to turn the sander on manually. This is essential for teaching waypoints or checking surface finish quality without running back to the robot controller.

3. The Adapter: Vibration Dampening

Sanding transmits massive high-frequency vibration back into the robot arm, which can trigger “Protective Stop” errors or wear out joints on sensitive cobots like the UR3e or TM5.

  • The Solution: Our Carbon Fibre Composite mount acts as a natural shock absorber. It is rigid enough to apply necessary down-force but dampens the buzz, keeping your robot running smoothly.

  • Payload Friendly: The entire setup (Sander + Adapter + Actuator) weighs under 1.8kg, leaving you plenty of payload margin for force control applications.
